Faceswap has been continually growing and advancing since it started just over 2 years ago. It’s amazing how far Faceswap has come in such a short time with only volunteers and help from the community. We now support more hardware than ever, have an excellent GUI, and more models with more features than anyone could have dreamed about.
2019 was the year where Faceswap started to make a positive difference, from being used for an actual movie trailer https://youtu.be/YEQTGlZZhAo to being recognized for the creative freedoms that Faceswap offers to creators https://youtu.be/IzEFnbZ0Zd4 . We started an official website https://faceswap.dev/ and a forum https://forum.faceswap.dev/. Both of which are dedicated to helping users find and use Faceswap. We even had a talk at a prestigious tech conference in Belgium https://youtu.be/v12wbKvhX78 . All of this has been a huge boon to themainstream adoption of Faceswap and deepfakes technology and even got us onArs Technica https://arstechnica.com/science/2019/12/how-i-created-a-deepfake-of-mark-zuckerberg-and-star-treks-data/ !
Faceswap has grown, thanks to the efforts of our volunteer developers, the users, and the financial support we’ve been able to receive through Patreon https://www.patreon.com/faceswap and Donations. This has enabled Faceswap to show up on the international stage and showcase the positive uses our technology can be used for.
